An Associate Consultant at TCC Group, James Gaynor has experience in strategic planning, program design, grants management, and monitoring and evaluation. Since beginning at TCC Group, he has worked with a range of clients including ViiV Healthcare, Blue Shield of California, Ascena Foundation, International Paper, and Doctors Without Borders.
Previously, James worked as an independent social sector consultant for nonprofits and social enterprises. His work has spanned multiple issues including human trafficking, international development, sustainability, education, and healthcare. James earned an M.P.A from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. For his capstone project, he worked with City Harvest to design a new program focused on incentivizing healthy nutritional behaviors in low-income communities. He also served as a teaching assistant for a graduate level nonprofit financial management course. Prior to beginning at Columbia, James participated in Think Impact's Innovation Institute as a scholar and facilitator in rural Rwanda where he co-led a small team of community members to develop a social enterprise using the human centered design approach. He holds a B.A. in Development Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed a Spanish immersion program in Mexico at the Spanish Institute of Puebla.
