CCAT® Facilitator Certification Program

Diversify your consulting toolkit

The CCAT is a key tool for consultants, foundation staff, and other capacity building professionals to use in their work with nonprofits, providing their clients and grantees with data to guide and catalyze organizational change. Through its CCAT Facilitator Training Program, TCC Group trains individuals to administer the CCAT, facilitate the interpretation of CCAT results, and apply CCAT findings to a multitude of capacity building activities.

CCAT Certified Facilitators Use the Tool For:
  • Strategic Planning: The CCAT provides nonprofit leaders with a clear understanding of their organizational capacity, offering shared insights that make it a valuable complement to the strategic planning process. By helping leaders prioritize efforts, address capacity needs, and focus strategic goals, they lay the groundwork for successful execution and greater impact.
  • Capacity Building Plans: The CCAT helps nonprofit leaders identify how to most effectively target their efforts to strengthen their organization. Whether the capacity building efforts are tied to grants or independently funded, the CCAT can ensure that valuable resources are used wisely.

”As a capacity-building organization, IAC has been searching for a robust and evidenced-based way to expand our services and increase our impact on the social sector. We identified the CCAT as a promising tool we are incredibly excited to bring to the nonprofits in our community and support them with valuable data to guide their growth and development. The tool is such an exciting way to truly help organizations to transform using a structured and data-driven approach“.

-Dr. Nicola Paugh, Inter Agency Committee For Children, Families & The Community

  • Cohort Learning: The CCAT provides cohorts of grantees with a framework to discuss common issues that have emerged in their CCATs, share ideas and strategies, and support each other on their capacity building journeys. It also helps consultants and foundation staff understand how they can structure cohort convenings and customize technical assistance.
  • Micro-engagements: Many consultants offer the CCAT as a standalone service, deriving value from using the findings report and facilitated discussion as opportunities to help leadership teams align and prioritize their capacity focus.
