Twitter FAcebook LinkedIn Email Insights & Perspectives • Announcement Join Our Corporate M&E Community of Practice Jared Raynor, Director, Evaluation and Learning Lisa Frantzen, Associate Director, Evaluation and Learning Calling all Corporate Social Good Evaluators! Are you or someone you know responsible for measurement or evaluation in a corporate social good setting- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG), etc.? This is an invitation to join a thriving community of practitioners to share ideas, address challenges, and advance effectiveness. Measurement and evaluation (M&E) within a corporate context brings unique opportunities and challenges. Four years ago, Johnson & Johnson supported TCC Group in conducting a benchmarking study of M&E practices within companies. The benchmarking showed several interesting trends and highlighted a gap in professional exchange opportunities. In response, with support from J&J, a corporate measurement and evaluation community of practice (COP) was established that is managed by TCC Group’s Director of Evaluation and Learning Jared Raynor and Associate Director Lisa Frantzen. The purpose of the COP is to share challenges and insights, work towards improving standards of practice, and create a network of support. The COP was first convened in Spring 2020 and has met quarterly since then with participation from large and small companies. A sampling of topics the COP has addressed include: disaster/emergency giving; meaningful reporting to rating agencies; role of evaluators in furthering strategic conversations about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) within their companies; translating impact data into learning, and working effectively with corporate communications teams. Our next COP meeting is scheduled for May 24th, 1:00-2:00 pm ET and the topic will be “How Do We Talk About Our Work Within Our Company or Corporate Foundation?”. If you or someone you know would like to learn more, please reach out to Jared or Lisa. We look forward to hearing from you! May 2, 2023
