What is the CCAT?

TCC Group’s Core Capacity Assessment Tool (CCAT) offers a proven, results-driven vehicle for consultants to collaboratively partner with nonprofit organizations seeking to strengthen their capacity with limited resources. Social sector professionals in a wide diversity of cultures and geographic locations rely on the CCAT to help nonprofits of all sizes, types, ages, and life cycles develop the competencies and skills required to effectively enrich lives and solve society’s most intractable problems.

CCAT Facilitators will acquire the skills to:

  • Understand and explain the Core Capacity Assessment Model to appreciate nonprofit organizational strengths and challenges.
  • Identify and prioritize resources required to grow and sustain a nonprofit’s mission and impact.
  • Encourage and enable nonprofits to strengthen and sustain their work over time by identifying their most powerful change levers to build more equitable and inclusive organizations and amplify their impact.

How Can You Benefit?

The CCAT provides a consistent framework for me as a consultant to help folks have a substantive conversation about their organizations. It helps me communicate with confidence – it is tried and true and creates common language to talk about complex issues. I used the CCAT with a small nonprofit that wanted to expand its programs, and the data of the report helped show in an objective and non-threatening way, how shoring up internal capacity, developing a strategic plan, and setting accountability goals could help them to achieve their goals sustainably.
