Stepping Into the Fight: How Health Funders can use Legal Advocacy as a Strategy to Make Change

This Quick Take session will introduce participants to advocacy strategies focused on creating change within the legal environment. TCC Group will share recent work, supported by Atlantic Philanthropies, about considerations for using legal advocacy, how it connects with more traditionally funded strategies, and how to evaluate this work.

Attorney Judith Stein, of the Center for Medicare Advocacy, will share her legal advocacy experience, most recently to compel Medicare to provide access to coverage and necessary care for people with long-term conditions that will not improve.
